Forensic Evaluations/Consultation

I specialize in the evaluation of traumatic stress related conditions in children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced traumatic incidents and may become court involved. Since 2016, I have been retained by attorneys in the states of Maryland and Virginia, and in the District of Columbia to assist in case consultation and/or conduct comprehensive assessments of court involved individuals. I have conducted the following types of forensic evaluations: Violence Risk Assessment, Competency to Stand Trial, Trauma Specific, Mitigation for Sentencing, Juvenile Transfer/Waiver. In addition, I conduct evaluations for cases under the Youth Rehabilitation Act (D.C. Law §22-197) and Maryland’s Juvenile Restoration Act (Senate Bill 0494 § 6-235 and § 8-110).

My evaluations are utilized for the following types of court proceedings: Juvenile Transfer/Waiver, Trial, Sentencing, Sentencing Reconsideration, and Violation of Probation Hearings.

I have also provided expert testimony in court cases as a Clinical Psychologist in the fields of Child and Adolescent Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Battered Spouse Syndrome, Battered Child Syndrome, and the diagnosis and treatment of Trauma and Other Stressor Related Disorders.
